The entertainment business provides investment opportunities that make money - lots of money. But like any high return investment, there is also a risk that money will be lost. Surprisingly, the key to making money in entertainment is not the ability to predict a hit movie or song. Rather, the essential element for success is the ability to identify and control risk. This means having a deep understanding of a very complex business - a level of understanding that only Hollywood insiders can obtain. It comes not only from years of experience, but from knowing who's who and what's what. Who can be trusted, who can perform, what's happening behind the scenes and what might happen next week.
One of our passions is helping intelligent investors to participate in the entertainment business without fear of being fooled or misinformed. We have decades of experience in film, television, music, digital media and entertainment technology. We also have relationships with key players and access to information that only insiders would know.
Our services in this area are offered in phases as a means of providing efficiency and cost control. Our clients have several decision points at which they can determine if further services and expense are justified. Each phase includes a written report and the opportunity to discuss the information by phone, videoconference or in person.

If a final determination is made to pursue the investment, then we will continue to represent the client through final negotiations, documentation and closing. We will thereafter remain available to help monitor progress of the investment to assure that it is proceeding as planned and to identify any unexpected events which may impact the risk or returns.
Of course, our clients are free to select only those services they want and the order in which they want them. We are totally flexible and most interest in assuring that each client gets exactly what he or she needs.

METHODOLGY AND LIMITATIONS
We will use all of our available resources to assess the quality of any particular investment opportunity. We will rely on our own experience and expertise, as well as looking for other information which may shed light on the investment. We will talk to experts or people we know in the industry in order to find out whatever we can about the project, the subject matter and the people involved. With our client's permission, we will hire other experts to assist us in investigation, research and analysis.
Of course, with all of that, we cannot predict or guarantee how any particular investment will perform. We cannot guarantee that we will discover everything about the people or project, or that any assumptions or assessments will ultimately prove to be accurate. At the end of the day, entertainment is still a risky business because it is not predictable. We can only help identify those projects where the perceived potential return justifies the amount of risk that is being taken.
